The Isolated Maoists

The enemy's enemy is the friend. The war strategy has so long been followed among the warriors - the Maoists are no separated lot. They also follow the same strategy for ages in India in order to ensuring organisational growth in the states of the country. Sometime they render tacit support for Congress or sometime for non-Congress political outfits to ensure their survival in the political map of the country.

Bengal's case has now backfired. Once friend becomes foe. The orthodox strategy failed to yield result this time; it rather becomes counter productive. Bengal new ruling party is not agreeable to allow the Maoists to continue their killing spree in the name of annihilation of the class enemies.

The Maoists brand of armed political outfit adopted line for political uprising through protracted armed struggle with the participation of armed squads in Chinese way. They remain ardent followers of the erstwhile Chinese political supremo who is dead. But his overseas strategy to create disturbance in India religiously followed by his successors despite difference on domestic political and economical strategy in China.

The poorest of the poor in districts of western plateau in West Bengal have of late recognised narrow politics of selling poverty of Tribal people. They realised that they have also equal right to live like human. They require roads, drinking water, food, jobs and other essentials what politics of extremism so far denied them.

With the emergence of new leadership in Kolkata, the people of all walks in the Bengali or Tribal society eagerly waits for something positive to happen for development cause. The people are not in a position to fall in trap of negative and destructive politics for so called Maoism or anything else. The very recent rejection of the Maoists strike call by the local people is evident. Let the troubleshooters take rest for some years. Its now turn for the great masses of the people. So, bye bye Maoists.

The Stone That Rolls Again

Tonight I may sleep with peace of mind for so many friends of mine heartily welcomed me to my workplace in the morning after long interval for my absence owing to my hospitlization for mild cerebral stroke. Its my doctors didn't prefer for early resumption of office work, but I forced to do it. In fact, I could not stay long unproductive at home just sleeping and eating etc. Stepping out of my home and asking my driver to take me to office has been felt today very normal. Now lot of my colleagues want me to share the days I suffered as patient. But I would like not to go back to those boring days and would much like to go ahead and ride on the rolling stone to venture many things undone.

The Bedridden Blogger

September the 3rd, this blog writer fallen sick for mild cerebral stroke and admitted to R N Tagore Heart Hospital in Kolkata. On discharge from the hospital, everybody suggested number of things restricting my normal movement and ways of life including smoking cigarette. But why I was hit with a stroke may be for non consumption  of tablets to restrict high blood pressure for 3/4 days for reason of taking vigorous care to my hospitalized wife. My wife undergone knee operation in Apollo hospital in the city. Some said it was for carrying over unnecessary tension that led to trauma and ultimately cerebral attack. I dont know except I was admitted in hospital in full sense and thats all. Now I am confined in my home with medicare etc. Lot of my friends and relatives visited me and expressed their good wishes for my early recovery. I am thankful to them. I wish God to be kind enough  and shower blessing to them.

Anna the torch bearer for new civilisation

May I now ask the idiots those who undermined Anna Hajare and his movement against corruption and why malicious campaigns were organised against his fast unto death? What should now those arrogant people say after watching excellent debate on TV in Parliament on the issue and unanimous resolutions in both lower and upper houses? Why not now they should condemn all the Parliamentarians across the party affiliations for supporting Anna Hajara? I know those stupids have no convincing answer. Because the today's world didn't see what they heard of Mahatma Gandhi long back on Satyagraha and non-violent movements include fast unto death. The present generation is only habituated to hear the sound of guns and bombs as a form of protest. To them, the Gandhi was nothing but a Tamasha and so the Gandhian ways of expressing dissents. It was unbelievable to them that a peaceful movement through self sacrifices could garner support of the supreme power house of a country. A new history for 21st century civilization has been written by the great Anna and his millions of followers. The human values and virtues lost in the ages of technological revolution, imperialism, monopoly or corporate capitalism are likely to reborn in this new age of civilisation. And Anna is an angel for a social change. We are all grateful that we born in the age of Anna Hajare.

Anna For Idiots

In response to an Independence greeting by one of my friends, I replied, " Anna Ramdev Sacchi Hai, Aur Ye Azadi Jhuta Hai". He bulldozed my feeling and abused me, "Anna Ramdev Pakhandi Aur Dhongi Hai, Bakwas Hai". The gentleman looks like a lizard that changes its colour from time to time. Once he was an ardent supporter of the then ruling party BJP and its leader Atal Behari ji and was a staunch opponent of Sonia Congress and its allies those were 'Faltus', according to him. Now the same man has become a faithful to Sonia Congress as if prices of essential commodities are stabilized, corruption is vanished, elected representatives have become Sadhus and Fakirs, the nation is reborn under 'satyayug' under the leadership of Monmohan ji. Keya baat, Keya baat. But my countrymen refused to go by those 'yes men' of the ruling class. In total discomfort to the sort of faithfuls, the people of India across the nation have risen to the occasion and bulldozed the evil desires of the power greedy persons and forced them to bow down to Anna and his followers by coming to terms convenient to the Mahatma and not a 'Pakhandi'. Now some people started realizing their misconception and looking at Anna afresh in the national interests. But I dont resist myself to conclude with, "Gaddha usse kahlata hai, jo saf pani gandha karke pite hai".

SAY NO TO KILL

"A simple question that haunts me a lot and perplex me all the time in my leisure. Is it the savage instinct that leads to kill a person or an animal only for the flesh or fest? I tried hard to understand the supreme value and enormous dignity of BLOOD, or it is an ordinary liquid connective tissue like skin and bones that works physiologically. To find the question, certain creative and pertinent questions come to my mind one after another? For an example, harmless deer is killed by the mighty tiger or lion everyday. The flesh of the deer wards off the hunger of the tigers. The theories are simple here as the survival of the fittest and mighty food chains. But in human society where the relation between a man and its genetic cousin is not like the predator and prey. In the jungle, might is the right but in human society, everything is possible and justified! Killing a man or men and hush up all evidences or documents is fair to the law enforcing agency. But in the light of humanity it is a crime. Then what is the fundamental difference between a man and an animal? Although man is also an animal (social).

However Man, who only can judge in the ultimate sense. Now come to the thousand dollar question. Question is why not a hang man or a terminal executioner is a killer in terms of the law? A man who killed a man is called a killer and also having all the proofs, evidences and documents of committing a homicide in cold blood, is not a killer. Often in a war field where a soldier kills his fellow army man of the opposite side. Who the man to give a death sentence or the directives to kill a man of this kind? Is it the verdict of the God, the nation, the government or the judiciary or bureaucratic system of the mankind? There is no respect and dignity for the supreme liquid and a beautiful gift of God called lives .

Similarly, for the reason of your ‘self-defence’, you could kill or perish a man, is not a killing? Even under the pretext of saving your own life. A killing is a killing whether it is an abatement of suicide, homicide, genocide or a judicial killing.

When you can’t create a life, then who has given you the right to kill a man. A death is for what? For the sake of the Holy Grail, we all have to preserve blood, honour blood; otherwise no one can survive and escape on the Judgment day. Lets pray to God for a decent life and a graceful death."

Political Arrogance

Transport owners across West Bengal paralyzed the state by a day's strike demanding rise in fare structure. On careful observation of the pre-strike development, it was revealed the TMC party supremo ignored the owners' association unaffiliated to any political party. The official letter sent by the striking association to the chief minister to discuss their problem of operating bus, taxi or trucks etc. at financial loss owing to hike in diesel price by the central government was simply ignored and  the same was not even officially acknowledged, regretted the spokesman of the Association on camera. On the contrary, other association affiliated to TMC was invited to make them agreed not to participate in the strike what they obediently complied upon. Yet the strike could not averted and it was near total causing extreme harassment and suffering to the people.

What is the writing of the wall? Onlooker summarized that either you behave as per wishes of the lords of the kingdom or perish. Either you belong to the parasites of the king else you go to hell. Any opposition to the king is an uncivilized act which may be tolerated once but not forever.

In the turmoil, lords and ladies in power found sign of conspiracy against a party in power only for 40 days. But the easy theory of conspiracy could not be established because involvement of the power-losers could not be established as yet. In fact, political opponents found it difficult to corner the powerful in the game. It is a proven fact the positive attitude of the newly elected government was found in reducing Rs.16/- cost of per gas cylinder meant for supply to the consumer and accepting revenue loss despite weak position in the state coffer. People are able to realize a state government can not do much than the gesture already shown, hence they cant be blamed. Therefore the calling of a strike to put a new government in trouble was thoughtless and an act of arrogance.

Dr Kabir on Mumbai blast

Pakistani bastards have struck again. What jihad those bastards perform by killing innocent people on the street? Where were those bastards when muslims were being killed at Afghanistan and Iraq by hurling cluster bombs? Saale, haramzaadon himmat hai to Bush ko marke dikha, ghareeb janta ko marke kya bahaduri dikhata hai . In kutton ne saari duniya mein Islam ko badnaam karke rakkha hai.

I have a feeling that the law of our country is very weak against terrorism. This is a country where Azmal Kasab is still surviving even after doing such a hineous crime. Very funny. He should have been killed instanly. Such exemplary punishment should be given to the terrorist so that their heart tremble with fear before attempting any more attack.

I am furnishing a copy of the letter which I had sent to The Telegraph:

" The news of terrorism and killing of innocent people on print and electronic media traumatizes human minds all over the world. The film My Name is Khan has given a clear message that in this world there are two kinds of people- good people and bad people. Obviously the population of good people is much more than bad people. Time has come for the good thinking people all over the world to evolve comprehensive strategies to crush terrorism of any form be it maoist, al qaida, lashkar e toiba, Indian mujahideen, talibans, simi, jews or shiv sena. It may be suggested i) to stop all sorts of blame game to gain political mileage and figt terrorism in a concerted way ii) to introduce a subject of “Anti terrorism” in all the schools, colleges and universities. This subject will deal in the root cause of terrorism, vigilance against terrorism, how to fight terrorism, dos and donts during any terrorist attack and aftermath. iii) In all the countries, a Ministry of Anti Terrorism should be created which will deal exclusively with terrorism. This Ministry should be independent of Ministry of Home Affairs because Home Ministry is busy with many other aspects. iv)World summit should be organized very frequently to discuss terror related issues so that all the countries can work together in tandem to crush terrorism. v) There should be regular program on the TV channels and regular publication of articles on newspapers to focus on Antiterrorism.

Terrorism has crossed all limits, no more wait and watch, let us do something very positive. "

Dr Sarma adds

The Parsi community is well known for their benevolence. Whatever has been done by the Tatas at Taj, Mumbai, could be more than appropriate, but, their selection of three crop-yielding plots at Singur for Nano is initiation of a criminal act tactlessly attempted for completion by Buddha, the then chief minister of West Bengal. Goutam Buddha converted Chandashoka to Dharmashoka. And our Buddha converted DharmaTATA to Chandal TATA.

Success is not a Long jump nor a High jump , its a Marathon of Steps

A news reporter asked Ratan Tata as to why Tatas are not making as much money as Reliance. He was said to have replied, We are industrialists. they are businessmen.

What TATA did to 26/11 Mumbai victims?

A must read Topic for all Indians

LET THE WORLD KNOW WHAT IS CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY?

THE NEWS WE DO NOT KNOW! The Tata Gesture

All category of employees including those who had completed even 1 day as casuals were treated on duty during the time the hotel was closed.

2. Relief and assistance to all those who were injured and killed

3. The relief and assistance was extended to all those who died at the railway station, surroundings including the  Pav bhaji vendor and the panshop owners.

4. During the time the hotel was closed, the salaries were sent by money order.

 5. A psychiatric cell was established in collaboration with Tata Institute of Social Sciences to counsel those who needed such help.

 6. The thoughts and anxieties going on peoples mind was constantly tracked and where needed psychological help provided.

 7. Employee outreach centers were opened where all help, food, water, sanitation, first aid and counseling was provided. 1600 employees were covered by this facility.

8. Every employee was assigned to one mentor and it was that persons  responsibility to act as a single window clearance for any help that the person required.

 9. Ratan Tata personally visited the families of all the 80 employees who in some manner either through injury or getting killed  were affected.

10. The dependents of the employees were flown from outside Mumbai to Mumbai and taken care off in terms of ensuring mental assurance and peace. They were all accommodated in Hotel President for 3 weeks.

11. Ratan Tata himself asked the families and dependents as to what they wanted him to do.

12. In a record time of 20 days, a new trust was created by the Tatas for the purpose of relief of employees.
13. What is unique is that even the other people, the railway employees, the police staff, the pedestrians who had nothing to do with Tatas were covered by compensation. Each one of them was provided subsistence allowance of Rs. 10K per month for all these people for 6 months.

14. A 4 year old granddaughter of a vendor got 4 bullets in her and only one was removed in the Government hospital. She was taken to Bombay hospital and several lacs were spent by the Tatas on her to fully recover her.

15. New hand carts were provided to several vendors who lost their carts

16. Tata will take responsibility of life education of 46 children of the victims of the terror.

17. This was the most trying period in the life of the organization. Senior managers including Ratan Tata were visiting funeral to funeral over the 3 days that were most horrible.

18. The settlement for every deceased member ranged from Rs. 36 to 85 lacs [One lakh rupees translates to approx 2200 US $ ] in addition to the following benefits:

 a. Full last salary for life for the family and dependents;

 b. Complete responsibility of education of children and dependent  anywhere in the world.

c.Full Medical facility for the whole family and dependents for rest of their life.

d. All loans and advances were waived off irrespective of the amount.

e. Counselor for life for each person

B. Epilogue

How was such passion created among the employees? How and why did they behave the way they did?

The organization is clear that it is not something that someone can take credit for. It is not some training and development that created such behavior. If someone suggests that  everyone laughs. It has to do with the DNA of the organization, with the way Tata culture exists and above all with the situation that prevailed that time. The organization has always been telling that customers and guests are priority.

The hotel business was started by Jamshedji Tata when he was insulted in one of the British hotels and not allowed to stay there. He created several institutions which later became icons of progress, culture and modernity. IISc is one such institute. He was told by the rulers that time that he can acquire land for IISc to the extent he could fence  the same. He could afford fencing only 400 acres.

When the HR function hesitatingly made a very rich proposal to Ratan he said do you think we are doing enough?

The whole approach was that the organization would spend several hundred crore in re-building the property why not spend equally on the employees who gave their life?

This is NOT COVERED BY Any NEWS CHANNELS

Like JOKERS RUNNING AAJTAK, ZEE NEWS , IBN These People Busy SHOWING DOGS CATS and cricketers

Forward to all people who you know to show what Ratan Tata DID for his Employees and other Indians.

PASS ON TO YOUR FRIENDS! LET THE WOR LD KNOW WHAT IS "CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

And U have driven them out from Bengal.

Dilip Mukherjee
-------
                              MY VIEWS
Many thanks to them who forwarded the msg. Its ridiculous to watch opposite action of Tatas in case of Singur village under Hooghly district of West Bengal where the corporate forgot social responsibility towards landless, marginal land owners in thousands those became the victims of a proposed automobile industrial estate. Those victims might not have killed or made physically handicapped by terrorists bullets but obviously suffered the same trauma once police and harmads drove them forcibly out of their farm land and made them beggar overnight. The minor girls and women were molested, raped and killed besides causing physical torture and arresting on false charges to hundreds of innocent protesting forcible acquisition of their farm land. The whole of Bengal raised voice against CPM harmads and condemned Tatas for encouraging inhuman action by the state administration. The Tatas were condemned world wide.

It should not be forgotten that corporates worldwide behave brutal once their attempt for investment of capital at the cost of human sufferings is resisted. Corporate responsibility means to build up image in the society and safeguarding of uni-national and transnational capital and it also means to extend relief package to the section of people live as parasites of those multinational and transnational corporate capital. And M/s Tata & Sons belongs to the same category.

God disposes But Man proposes For Black Money

Baba Ramdeb did the fast en-mass to invite attention of the Indian Prime Minister and his manager to initiate strong steps to bring back money from foreign countries to the coffer of the government in order to removal of the poverty from the country forever. The government sent emissaries to negotiate with Ramdeb and his disciples at Ram Lila ground in New Delhi and claimed they accepted 99% demands of Ramdeb that mostly of common men’s concern except black money. Some hand written notes of one Acharya of the team suggested ending of the fast and resumption of 5 days TAPA (chanting mantras in Pranayam) since the government responded in positive. The emissaries again assured to send detail moves the government will initiate for black money.

Babaji suddenly said no to end his fast on protest. A lawyer turned minister threatened if the government learnt to accommodate demands; it also knew to crush a senseless movement of Ramdeb and his followers with strong hands. Babaji termed the minister’s move a treachery as why he showed the hand written assurance of the Acharya on mutual settlement of the issues raised to the press media. He challenged the government to take harsh action against him. He sought intervention of the Prime Minister.

But no one intervened other than armed police force jumped upon some 20000 citizens of different age groups including minors assaulting many and dispersed them at midnight from Ram Lila ground. Babaji flew away to Hardwar to resume his fast. The same government that negotiated issues of public interest started behaving opposite and started campaign that Baba’s activities sponsored by Sangh Parivar including BJP, the main opposition party in the Parliament.

Let us not loss our faith over our veteran Prime Minister who should also respect the right to information of Indian citizens to know those agreed or assured issues arrived between the two sides and what were the proposed steps of the government to unearth black money talked about by the government during the course of negotiation with Ramdeb ji.

Its man proposes but God disposes as could be seen while Dr Monmohan Singh advocates himself for inclusion of the Prime Minister in the Lokpal, a powerful section surrounding him is saying opposite. The crooked fox shouts the same voice in case of back money as against the desire of the PM. WHY ?

He Said It Once

--- Winston Churchill...
[His speech at the time of India's Independence
Bill tabled in the British Parliament 64 years ago]
"Power will go to the hands of rascals, rogues, freebooters; all Indian leaders will be of low caliber & men of straw. They will have sweet tongues & silly hearts. They will fight amongst themselves for power & India will be lost in political squabbles. A day would come when even air & water would be taxed in India."

Today Anna Hajare and tomorrow Ramdev. These are voices against corruption in high places and criminals of black money makers flourished under protection of corrupt officers and staff, politicians of low caliber and men of straw. Undoubtedly Indian office establishment and its managers failed to deliver good governess in meeting the aspiration of the people.

Churchill was out of power at that time but his observation was nearly correct in the sense that power transferred to the stooges of British in 1947 were absolutely incompetent in running the business and deliver results. The conspirators in UK intentionally transferred power to the hands of rascals, rogues, freebooters and Indian leaders of low caliber & men of straw so that no question on millions of wrong doings by British Raj raised after their departure and their profit making operations from India remained smooth. Let us not be swayed with what a crooked man like Churchill once said about their colony. Let us fight for our own destiny by ourselves.

MY KID VICTORIOUS

What a sense of tranquility prevailed in my heart! My naughty kid who was about to be fired from his school for his extreme naughty behaviors ranked top among his school mates scoring above 90% marks in states secondary school exam. It has earned a good demand in a society that almost rejected him once upon a time. It was heartening to listen to those school teachers critical of my kid earnestly requested me not to transfer it to other school. It is really a good turn around and lets look ahead for his future.

The Feminism backfired

The feminists now must learn its not the man its woman too deprives rights of the woman. The ladies who love to undermine men in general for damaging their desires, choices and passions in achieving what they like most must now repent for their senseless comments and wrong deeds. Let the good sense prevails amongst those snobby girls having devilish pleasures in condemning guys without sufficient reasons.  It’s a disease grown among working women. They do not really realize in doing so they have given birth too many Frankensteins among themselves. The fact remains that many women do not like upliftment of other women folks and block their prospect in life. In a recent case, a lady was forced to tender her resignation to her employer for reason that her due up-gradation to higher pay and promotion to a higher post was simply delayed thereby denied by one of her lady colleagues in an office establishment. The lady pretended to be intellectual followed feminist way of life and pegged many lines undermining so-called male domination in society was basically a patient of hypertension who even disregarded men and women of low profile now left none to say something aloud against injustice meted out to her. That’s the irony in this case.

Dr Sarma rightly suggests

Kumari Mamata Banerjee had come to our house, amongst other houses as she was contesting election against a CPM giant like Somnath Chatterji and sought our support to win in the Parliamentary election in 1984. She won the election in a comfortable margin. I remember that in talking to my mother she went to the kitchen. As my mother was cooking on a coal-oven, Mamata  sat on the floor of the kitchen to be able to talk to my mother while my mother was squatting on the floor to make things ready for cooking. That demonstrated her simplicity. There is no doubt that her unquestionable honesty is the backbone of her strength. I think people like Sekhar Roy needs to associate with her for her success.

Bengal To Breath Fresh Air

s
Thirteenth May Change (TMC) as some people love to call it now. What a wonderful match for Trina Mul Congress Party that is slated to dislodge the ruling Marxist Communists (CPIM) from the state of West Bengal after 34 years of unstinted enjoyment of state power and privileges. The change comes relying on its supremo Kumari Mamata Bannerjee who rose to the political height during my youth.

My first meeting with the lady in 1984 was not pleasant. I sought her help in extending support to a section of unorganized workers and handed over a memorandum signed by a few hundred workers of her own parliamentary constituency. The workers were then bulldozed by a combine of owners and CPIM party cadres. She took the signed papers and assured nothing. Never ever she recalled those suffering workers. The next election she fought and won from the neighboring constituency and became a Union Minister. Her chariot never stopped and moved onwards until she made a situation to unseat the ruling CPIM.

I was simply charmed with her so simple personal life style  which was not visible in case of the so-called communists ruled the state for decades. I paid respect to her devotion, honesty and simplicity. She was the real example of underclass that challenged the authoritarian rule and endangered her personal life many a time. With the grace of God and good wishes of the people she survived.

Mamata proved that nothing was impossible to achieve on the Earth provided one fixed the target and fought to the last.  Already she proved herself to be an efficient administrator being the country’s Rail Minister. Her success as a Chief Minister of West Bengal will speak for itself. People in this part of the globe may find some fresh air to breath for some years after she takes over charges.

Bye Bye Marxists

Bengal Marxists are in coma stage counting their days to perish from the state power in West Bengal. The party parted away from the communist party of India in 1964 and formed a separate forum called CPIM that started struggle for landless and oppressed working class to enhance their support base with a view to ultimately raising to the state power. After so many ups and downs the party succeeded in retaining its power for long 34 years in an Indian state which has found place in guineas book of world record. With the rise of natural anti-incumbency factor and certain mishandling in acquisition of farm land for setting up new industries and unleashing reign of white terror among the oppressed class, the hero of many times became zero within a few years. Its days are numbered for fall of the great Berlin wall. The state election started in phase and record percentage of polling (85%) has been recorded across the state that clearly indicates farewell to the Marxists from the state power. It is a poll to oust CPIM  and not to support the opposition, but the opposition alliance will be the obvious beneficiary to regain the sate power. The change may not be always good but change is obvious-whether you like it or dislike. The general feeling in the state is that the honesty of the underclass is more trustworthy than dishonesty of the ruling elite class in disguise of the communists.

Dr Sen out of Prison

The observation of Supreme Court division bench indicated Binayak Sen was neither a Maoist nor a traitor of the nation. The trial court was asked to release him on bail which has been complied but on certain unfair condition of depositing his passport and not leaving the country etc. It seems the spirit of the Apex Court observation was not taken in a spirit that should have been. The highest court's order proved that Dr Sen, a medical practitioner who rendered free service to the poorest of the poor, was wrongly put behind bar. The judgement for life imprisonment passed by Chattisgarh High Court based on police documents leaves many reasonable doubts. But Binayak by this time spent 4 years in confinement which will never come back to his family life. Yet he has to run from pillar to post for acquittal from the fake charges labelled against him. In causing suffering to the great soul of the country by the state judiciary and local police, an opposition political outfit called BJP has already damaged its creditability at the national level. Their credibility will be at stake if they continue to behave arrogant over role of the NGOs in tribal dominated rural India. Their hot head policy in opposing Maoists will be counter productive. Still they are reluctant to reverse their policy in the matter as because, I think, this party prefers to sit in the opposition bench all the time to come, thanks to the beneficiary ruling the nation presently.

Opposite views- New Pension Scheme (NPS)

Once a top brass in an autonomous body under Indian Government expressed his anguish over spending of huge money under unproductive head of accounts called Pension payable to the retired employees. He sought my support to stop this once for all and devise an alternative to lessen the burden of the organisation. He questioned why because of huge financial liability the organisation will not be able to divert its fund for productive purpose. He held the government responsible for duel policy for its own staff and for staff of autonomous/statutory bodies. The government will pass order that these bodies will decide payment of pension depending upon its own fund. That meant the government suggested otherwise to stop pension if its fund failed to cater. That meant you ought to have minimised your productive expenditure in order to maximise your unproductive spending. He opined the money could be better utilised for new employment generation in a country where half of the population remained unemployed. I gave patient hearing on the issue and left his room without any commitment for support to his 'noble venture'. The issue still remained controversial.

Down with anti labour laws

Two-hour walkouts and demonstrations organised on 24th March to condemn the introduction of Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) bill and demanded its withdrawal. Effigies of the bill were also burnt in some states. It is reported that state government employees organised the programme with success in Tripura, Assam, West Bengal, Bihar, Orissa, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Maharashtra, Kerala, Tamilnadu, Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan. Employees in Kerala, Tripura and West Bengal organised massive walkouts and demonstrations.

This bill, initiated during the NDA regime, could not be pushed through because of the opposition by the working class outside the parliament and by the Left parties in the parliament. But the left force is of the opinion that in a surreptitious manner the UPA government of the Congress party and its allies have kept the avenues open to the regulator for unlimited foreign investment in pension fund without requiring the parliament’s assent. This shows how the present government is in connivance with the major opposition party, the BJP, in surrendering to the pressure of the international finance capital.

the bill was part of the government’s neo-liberal pro-corporate agenda to change the concept of pension as “defined benefit” to the workers after retirement to a “defined contribution” by the workers. This makes a mockery of pension as a social security scheme, with the onus of funding and regulation of the scheme shifting from the government or employer to a regulator. The main objective is to divert the pension contribution by the workers to the share market and corporate equity funds.

Right from the early days of 2005, when the bill was first introduced in the parliament, MPs belonging to the Left parties in and the working class all over the country have been relentlessly fighting against the blatant attempts of the governments and that is why the bill could not be passed in the parliament. Yet the central government and many state governments are implementing the new pension scheme through administrative orders, without the sanction of parliament. Only the Left ruled the states, viz, West Bengal, Tripura and Kerala, have declared that they will not implement the new pension scheme for their employees.

The central government employees unions' contention is that it is due to the pressure exerted by the World Bank, IMF and finance capital in and out the country that the successive governments at the centre, headed by the NDA and the UPA, were trying to privatise the pension funds by placing it at the disposal of private fund managers and thereby paving way for investment of the astronomical pension fund amount in share market speculations. Despite the fact that international experience has proved the privatisation of pension as being beneficial neither to the employees nor to governments, such shameless attempts are being pursued continuously in the interest of private entrepreneurs.

ANNA OUR CONSCIENCE

Anna Hajare the true crusader  has succeeded a step forward in his fight against corruption. He has made our government in New Delhi to agree to a new formation of Lokpal which is a committee against corruption to be half represented by the social activists outside the government. Anna the true follower of Mahatma Gandhi ended his fast unto death upon agreement that the government will table the Lokpal bill in the next session of the parliament with the power to prosecute the corrupt if found guilty. The prime minister and chief ministers may be summoned and prosecuted etc. etc. If it is done, it will revolutionize the Indian democracy after Right to Information Act. All done during the tenure of Dr. Monmohan Singh, the prime minister of India. Lets hope for the best.

My views:
One should recall with sympathy the tears of the sweet daughter of
Pakistan captain and her sweet analysis of defeat of her nation in WC semis covered in TV. Every sensible man in this cricketing sub-continent admits that Misba the most gentleman cricketer of Pak cricket team lastly raised hope for his team and raised heart beat for the opponent. Full credit goes to Afridi that it was his leadership that made his team inspired to display wonderful sportsmanship in the field that pulled up a team with half of its new and less known crickets to raise to semi final by defeating many teams. There are Hindustani unlike Kabir who wanted to see India-Pakistan WC final means they had their sympathy for the team those are our nearest brothers and sisters and they would have loved to watch such a passionate game. It is the bunch of conspirators who fixed the matches in a way so that the dream final never comes true. I also gladly join with those Hindustanis in supporting our brothers while they fought 'ungrej' and similar foreign teams. But I always remain a staunch supporter of our national team and oppose Pakistan or any team in any match. Lets never lower the honour of a team of good people while held high our national team. That's the spirit of our nationalism and culture of universal brotherhood.

The Claws of Imperialism

Aerial bombing is going on over Libya to eliminate Col. Gaddafi and his government under the pretext of protecting the people opposed to misrule of Libya. Its NATO has once again waged aerial attack and started destruction of the same Libyan people of Gaddafi's party. No one has invited them to kill the Libyans on one plea or other. No one has extended offer to policing a section of the Libyan people good or bad and kill them indiscriminately. Are the NATO authorised to do so by UN? The answer is simply NO. The same do hold good for Arab League. The people of America, UK, and France can not support the NATO venture to attack a sovereign country and a bonafide member of UN. The political unrest has been going on in many countries and the ruling governments have been overthrown by the indigenous people by constitutional or extra-constitutional ways. Yes, there has been extension of support to the struggling people from overseas in the form of money or weapons etc. but not armed invasion of other nations. Because social revolution can not be exported.

The Libyan invasion by US & its allied forces have broken all ethics, international laws. The invasion has reduced the relevance of UN which failed to resist the imperialism to invade other sovereign country like Libya and Saddam Hussein’s Iraq. These oil reached nations are not the safe heavens of Taliban or Al-Qaeda. They are moderate Muslim nations but opposed to US imperialism and its stooges in order to oppose looting of petro-gold. So destroy them under one pretext or other. Libya is subjected to attack again and again. In spite of killing of the only daughter of the Libyan leader by the same aerial attack before couple of years, yesterday his son was killed. Shortly, the figure of the killed Libyans will reach one hundred marks. The fight for existence of the warring groups is going on in Libya.

The fact remains the civilised world rejects totalitarian rules of any form either of Communist, Islamist or of Corporate run democracies. Gaddafi enjoys absolute power in that country for ages and absolute power corrupts absolutely. There is no wrong in raising voice against fascism and oppressed people must have their right to fight it out till end of misrule. But that should not pave the way for invasion by the imperialist forces and undermine the peoples resistance movement. Let the people of Libya fight for their rights and dislodge the rulers through the democratic struggle and also protect their national assets like petroleum from the clutches of imperialism. Lets recall my piece of write up in this blog page that I wrote a year back with the title Obama The President.

The Dolls House

Its very easy to talk love but very difficult to respect it for too long time. Every human being has its right to love its opposite gender-be it a mother or father, wife or husband, sister or brother and a girl or boy friend. In adolescence, sweet feeling of love comes and the mind becomes restless to touch it. In youth, it becomes passionate and provokes to commit mistake in order to rob the love. With the maturity, the passion gets normal and the mind desires rest with the person you love most. Thus the ordinary life goes and ends up without achieving anything memorable. You only achieved to leave behind some life or lives you gave birth to follow the same path you followed once.

In my search of an extra-ordinary among ordinaries, I found a little girl never bothered to talk or desired to get anything from anybody. Her eyes spoke a lot whenever she gazed at anything. If anyone offers her in anticipation of her desires, she would smile and politely reject the offer. I found her passion in playing with dolls. But not the dolls those were ready-made. She would make it with some left over items and soil. She never took rest until she implanted life into the dolls she created. She loved to talk to them hour after hour and felt angry if disturbed. I was also passionate in over-hearing her conversations and wanted to read her mind.

Good morning sweety! the doll-boy welcomed.

Very good morning, replied she.

Will you ever remember the person you love most if he cheats you?

The person deserved to love may desert me but can’t cheat.

So, you won’t forget him in your lone life and you desire his come back?

Yes and No.

Why? asked the confused doll-girl.

It’s the love made us united and it’s only the passion separated us forever, she looked tall to comment.

So, the true love has to be passionate for creating wonders for human civilization to pay back as human beings and not for only giving birth to unwanted lives, the doll boy meant to say.

She drowned to the deep sea with the falling of her eyes.

kidhealth.org adds

Pinworm is an intestinal infection caused by tiny parasitic worms. One of the most common roundworm infections, pinworm infections affect millions of people each year, particularly schoolchildren.

But if your child develops a pinworm infection, don't worry. Pinworms don't cause any harm (just itching), and it won't take long to get rid of them. And people who have pinworms aren't dirty — kids can get pinworms no matter how often they take a bath.

How Pinworm Infections Spread

Pinworm infections (also known as "seatworm infection," "threadworm infection," "enterobiasis," or "oxyuriasis") are contagious.

People become infected by unknowingly ingesting microscopic pinworm eggs that can be found on contaminated hands and surfaces, such as:
bed linens
towels
clothing (especially underwear and pajamas)
toilets
bathroom fixtures
food
drinking glasses
eating utensils
toys
kitchen counters
desks or lunch tables at school
sandboxes

The eggs pass into the digestive system and hatch in the small intestine. From the small intestine, pinworm larvae continue their journey to the large intestine, where they live as parasites — their heads attached to the inside wall of the bowel.

About 1 to 2 months after a person acquires the pinworm eggs, adult female pinworms begin migrating from the large intestine to the area around the rectum. There, they will lay new pinworm eggs, which trigger itching around the rectum.

When someone scratches the itchy area, microscopic pinworm eggs are transferred to their fingers. Contaminated fingers can then carry pinworm eggs to the mouth, where they are reingested, or to various surfaces, where they can live for 2 to 3 weeks.

If you're wondering if your family pet could give your child a pinworm infection, it can't. Pinworms don't come from animals.

J Factor

The spoiled does not rest until it spoils others. There was a pinworm rested in the rectum of D. It slept till it was weak and uncared. The carrier of the worm lived on the plateau where there was a little water contamination and the place was too hot in summer and too cold in winter. The environment didn’t help the worm to grow stronger. So, it slept unmoved keeping its greed suppressed.

D then trekked down to the plains and set up its hut at the outskirt of the city life under pressure. The sky, air, water were usually polluted there that was conducive to the growth of the worm. It started giving trouble in the rectum of D and started giving birth to more troublemakers that virtually made D a restless. In stead of eliminating the worm through the use of highdose medicines, D preferred to be intoxicated through wine in order to suppress the pain.

The troublemakers then came out of D and preferred to enter in new biological organs of others in the city. From the rectum the pinworm started to infect lunge and heart of the other human species. It now rests comfortably in all polluted substances in one form or other with devilish pleasure of inflicting sufferings to many. The pleasure it derives from the infected verses, stories, songs and images spread across the internet social sites. So, everybody should be careful of J-Factor in our city life.

The Sin Inherited

The amount of sin has been piled up in the corridor of power in Centre and States over the ages can not be cleared by one Monmohan Singh alone. Indian democracy runs on four wheels viz. parliament, administration, judiciary and free press. The legacy of favouritism and corruption inherited from Muslim and English rulers in India for thousand years can not be stopped by one court judgment or by a stroke of an order by any honest administrator despite his/her all pious desires.

Before passing any politically motivated comment against Dr. Singh, one should recall what a late Prime Minister Rajib Gandhi disowned a similar judgment passed by Supreme Court in Shah Banu case. Banu was the victim of Shariat law, but the Court rejected that law and offered justice to the victim by upholding the law of the land. But the then Congress with its brutal majority revoked the Shariat law and denied the rights of the Muslim women. Thus the Supreme Court judgment was thrown to the dustbin in order to appease the fanatic Muslims for winning votes.

Now one can observe the difference in administrative disposal by the current prime minister. Soon after the judgment passed by the Apex court, Dr. Singh immediately assured the countrymen to honour the judgment and asked the accused Thomas to resign from CVC. He never suggested filing a review petition to the court to be heard by a constitution bench. What does it indicate? Thomas was not his natural choice, but he was compelled to pass the appointment under pressure. Now he may find opportunity to set the house in order for the benefit of the country. Lets wait whether his high command will allow him to do so or will be asked to step down under pressure from the opposition parties and other vested interests.

Dr Sarma Hits Back

I do not agree with the example of Father, because, the father has a compulsion to remain a father, but,it is high time that this stupid father should tell the grand mother that he does not want to be father any more and to find another scape goat. Unfortunately, grand mother is unable to find a reliable goat, because, the other bearded persons might turn out like Kalmadis and might suck more and give less milk. That is perhaps the beauty of honesty.

JPC

What has been done can not be undone. It was rabbit preferred to sleep comfortably thinking that the tortoise will never be able reach the destination and the rabbit will get up and make up the gap by its speed. But it awoke and found the tortoise already reached the destination and accepted the defeat to the slow but steady animal.

Our respected Prime Minister of India is now on back foot. He had to accede to the demand for JPC after clearance from the Congress think-tank. Better late than never. In doing so, the ruling UPA accepted prima-facie the legitimacy of the demand of the opposition for Joint Parliamentary Probe against corruption in high places. The probe is expected to cover both NDA and UPA regimes and to come out with valid recommendations and directions to root out the corruption and dishonest practices by misusing executive powers.

It would, however, be disgusting if the opposition attempts to use the platform of JPC only to insult a gentleman like Dr. Monmohan Singh in order to meet its political interest leaving the major issues to include fixing of responsibility of the real culprits and thieves. The JPC should come out with the recommendations of exemplary punishments.

It is agreed if any wrong committed by any member of a family, the father can not escape moral responsibility despite his personal honesty. Yet no sensible person can award punishment to the father just because he is the head of the family. If he becomes the major focus or is crucified it would tantamount to suppress the guilt of the real culprits. I hope the parties achieved JPC will not send wrong message to the citizens of this country.

Indians are poor but INDIA is not a poor country". Says one of the Swiss bank directors. He says that "280 lac crore" of Indian money is deposited in Swiss banks which can be used for 'tax less' budget for 30 yrs. Can give 60 crore jobs to all Indians. From any village to Delhi 4 lane roads. Forever free power supply to more than 500 social projects. Every citizen can get monthly 2000/- for 60 yrs. No need of World Bank & IMF loan. Think how our money is blocked by rich and corrupt politicians. The country has full right to know he detail about the beneficiaries."

                                                                  Forwarded by Jagannadha Rao
 Also few lines:
Today our prime minister Dr. Singh inspired the IAS probationaries to be honest and kind towards the poor and tribal Indians. He informed the corrupt people are depriving the poorest of the poor from their basic needs. He asked not to compromise with the corrupt people in social life and administration. Perhaps, our learned and old prime minister has forgotten that the snakes should not be trusted, they bite even to the charmers. He should have considered to wind up those service cadres and replace them with technocrats to head the ministries, departments and statutory bodies in order to bring transparency and deliver desired results. The proposed changes in the system may bring positive changes to minimise corruption.

Reactions

Dr Sarma reacts:

I wish Dr Singh read your note 5 years back, because, once he is in a trap, it is difficult, nay impossible, for him to take himself out from the Gang of gangsters.

Dr Singh is always given credit for rejuvenating Indian economy as the Finance Minister in the ninetees, but, I always thought that it was Narasimha Rao's idea. Rao was a learned person as he knew so many languages. He had the wisdom and used Dr Singh to fulfil his good wisdom as someone is now using him for her evil designed wisdom. If Dr Singh had any wisdom, he would not have accepted the PM's post at all.
