A Loveless 'Love'

Love has encompassed a different meaning to the cheat and imposture. They don't hesitate to sell out it for money and position. Lies are presented in a decent fashion to win over the evil desires. I had the opportunity to watch such a cheat in a close proximity. Its an idle and a conspirator was out to defame its nearest and dearest for no fault on her or his part.It never bothered to use and throw  once the desires were fulfilled. In its extreme needs, the cheat behaved like a pet to kiss ones feet and never hesitated to fraud and rob the helpful person. What do you term this sort of element? Does it possess the right to live in a human society? Should it  be thrown to any mental asylum or should it be thrown to the hungry wild beast? Please advise.

Yesterday, a memorable day for Partha who lost his dearest and nearest one - his better half. I knew Partha was in solitude on the day and might have dated with her. God bless you and your kid.

Is Dr. Singh guilty? You decide

Re-Published with principled opposition &
with my comment below the text for my friend Shri Jagannadha Rao

For the last few days, we have been deluged with details of the 2G spectrum scam. Every channel worth its salt has aired innumerable talk shows and discussions on this mother of all scams. On the one hand Subramanyam Swamy is accusing Dr. Manmohan Singh of refusing to act on his petition to prosecute Andimuthu Raja, and on the other we have the congress spokespersons eulogizing the Government’s morality sacking in Raja. All this reminds of a Vikramaditya and the Betal story I read years ago.

Once there lived an old and pious man, renowned for his honesty. One day his neighbor, a rich merchant comes to him with a request. The merchant was leaving on a voyage and wants the old man to safeguard his wealth, until his return. The old man agrees and with God as witness promises to protect and safeguard the merchant’s wealth.

The old man then entrusts the safe keep of the merchant’s wealth to his son, from whom he takes an oath of propriety and honesty. Slowly the son starts dipping into the merchants wealth, people notice this and warn the old man of the son’s misdeeds. The old man calls his son asks him to explain, he also reminds him of his oath on following the right path. The son rubbishes the accusations as rumors and the idle gossip of jealous people, who could bear to see his prosperity. The old man accepts the son’s explanation and things go on as before.

The merchant returns and demands his wealth. The old man calls his son, who hands over a quarter of the merchant’s wealth saying that is all there was. The merchant realizing that he has been cheated approaches the King. The King listens to the merchant’s complaint and summons the old man. The old man comes to the court with his son and handing him over to the King says “your majesty, the merchant is right. My son has confessed to the crime. Please punish him.”

The king has the son flogged and imprisoned. He then praises the old mans honesty and dismisses the case. But the merchant demands punishment for the old man saying, “I have still not received justice. I had entrusted my wealth to the old man which he swore by God to safeguard. The old man’s integrity is intact, but what of me, I have been robbed of my life’s savings, and made a pauper. It was the old man’s decision to entrust my wealth the son for safe keeping. As far as I am concerned the old man is the culprit, and should be punished.

The king is astounded by this demand. The old man, was neither a party to the theft nor did he benefit from it. In fact, he had sent his son to jail. Yet, the merchant was asking for the old man’s punishment.

The Betal asks Vikramaditya, “What should be the Kings decision.”

Vikramaditya’s replies, “Though the old man is innocent of the actual theft, he is guilty of dereliction of duty. The son’s crime was a straight forward one, the old man’s was a graver crime. He did nothing to protect the merchant’s wealth. Far from being vigilant he failed to take action even when he was warned of his son’s misdeeds. Because of his laxity the merchant is condemned to a life of penury. He should be punished.”

India 2010, Dr. Manmohan Singh, esteemed economist, former Governor of RBI, Deputy Chairman of Planning Commission, former Finance Minister, a man whose personal ethics and integrity are unblemished, takes oath to protect and safeguard the Nation and its assets. He appoints Raja, as his Cabinet Minister for IT & Telecom.

Raja the Telecom Minister has with him keys to the 2G spectrum a finite and precious National asset. Raja flouts all rules of propriety and transparency in Government, and in violation of his oath of office, sells the spectrum at a throw away price of Rs.1651 crore.

1. DoT with Raja at its helm issues an astounding 120 UAS licenses in a single day, January 10, 2008. A feat unsurpassed in the history of Government anywhere in the world. Suspiciously 85 of these licenses are issued to companies which suppressed facts, disclosed incomplete information and submitted fictitious documents.

2. In issuing these licenses neither the High Powered Telecom Commission, which was expressly set up for this nor the Finance Ministry or the Ministry of Law and Justice are consulted. Vital decisions are taken without being deliberated and discussed at inter ministerial forums.

3. In sharp deviation of business practice, the cut off date for receiving applications gets advanced from Oct 1, 2007 to Sept 25, 2007, violating all canons of fair play and ethics.

4. Real estate companies which till date of application had no interest in Telecom are allotted Licenses and spectrum ahead of genuine applicants. These then go on to reap windfalls from foreign players by selling equity.

Unlike the story, this heist of a precious national asset is carried out in full view of Dr. Manmohan Singh and his cabinet colleagues. Newspapers across the country cry out at this outrage in front page headlines.

The Indian Constitution grants the Prime Minister absolute power in running the country. He is the head of the Government and the Union Cabinet functions at his pleasure. As per the Transaction of Business Rules the Prime Minister has the unrestricted right to demand and get any file, any record from any Ministry. Dr. Man Mohan

Dr. Singh did not profit personally from Raja’s shenigans, but his failure to act, to honor the oath of office, to protect and safeguard the nation and its wealth is unforgivable. Like the old man, he has sacked Raja from his ministerial berth, but does his culpability end there.

The people of India had entrusted their faith and the future of the Nation in Dr. Manmohan Singh, believing him to be a man of integrity and honesty, and not to Raja. Does dismissing Raja absolve Dr. Singh or like the old man is he guilty of dereliction of duty and failure to safeguard the Nation and its citizens. Does he deserve punishment?

It is for the Indian citizen to decide.

My Comments below:
It is premature to comment on Dr Singh's integrity at this stage because the case is subjudiced. The Apex Court in its direction asked the investigating agency to open the files from the regime of Atal Behari Bajpai, the former prime minister of BJP led government. The court is sure to probe the roles and connections of the bureaucracy and the beneficiaries along with the concerned ministers of the past and present regimes. Prima facie, the court has observed that Dr Singh through his PMO sent notes after notes to the concerned ministries to maintain check and balance in 2G spectrum. CAG which has recently pointed out the misdeals  could have done the same in NDA regimes. Parliament proceedings were blocked on number of occasions by the then opposition parties demanding actions in UTI scam and many such. Did the press media demand resignation of the then prime minister? So the Betal story should have been told at that time also. At least, Dr Singh soon after the news broke out did not make any attempt to suppress or support the culprits in question. He has clearly directed his men to fully cooperate with the highest court to unearth the truth. This has displayed he has not compromised with his standard set over the years.

ITS MY DAUGHTER

Its been nice to see angel to walk together with its guy. Its my angel my daughter knows only to cry and blame its own fate what I’m unable to accept. Yes, its not me who gave birth to this girl child but has fathered it. The heaven seems closure with its arrival. Its Ma Bhagwati the mother of earth has come down to settle in and make my home happy. I simply surprised with the limit of tolerance she inherited in condoning many wrong doings of its guy. Her patience in putting its guy in right track in order to make his life meaningful is simply noteworthy. I feel it my obligation that my sweet daughter lives a peaceful life wherever she resides and whoever she chooses to sharing her life. I along with my family prayed to our Guru Mataji to shower her blessing on the couple which is yet to build their nest for a peaceful and prosperous conjugal life.

ITS MY SON PARTHA

Once we together heard cries and laments of a widow and her mother in law at their home. They lost prematurely their dearest and nearest one Basaki, the only earning member of that family. The family has been starving for months and they were looking for a good tenant at their home to reduce their financial hardship. I failed to assist the destitute in dire need. The weeks and months passed in between, we hardly discussed those faces whenever we had met. But Partha never forgot them. Yesterday, he rang me up to reduce my agony that he was at last able to find a tenant to contribute the family a good amount per month. I am indebted to you my son. God bless you.

Scion Sarma again on Indian National Congress

On Siddhartha Shankar Ray
Excellent comments. I'll give you my personal experience. One of my friends used to work for DePenning & Depenning - Patent Consultants. His boss a tamilian was the President of Table Tennis Federation of Ubdia and was organising the 33rd World TT Championship for which the Netaji Indoor stadium was being constructed and as usual there was a delay in completion. He was to go to Geneva for the last meeting of the World Federation before the Tournament. When he was preparing to leave office to take the flight on the next day, he was summoned to the CM's office. CM asked him about the progress at the stadium and then said ' if you are asked at the meeting about the stadium what will you say? Boss said, I'll say that do'nt worry everything is under control. CM said NO. Just say that tournament will be on schedule. At the meeting, the President asked him -'is the stadium ready and Boss said tournament is possible. China had two large stadia ready and was keen to get the tournament. So the Chinese asked 'we are told that the work is far behind the target, will you be able to make it? Boss again said what he was asked to say and the tournament remained at Calcutta. I had gone to Boss to collect a Season Ticket, when he had narrated this story.

Dr Sarma's comment on Dr Sen

It is unfortunate that I am also a silent spectator of umpteen number of wrong doings including that of Dr Sen. -  Scion Sarma

My view:
Only a man of integrity and honesty has the guts to admit like above.

NEW YEAR WITH DR BINAYAK SEN

IN MY FIRST REACTION AS A HUMAN BEING ON THE JAILED MEDICAL PRACTITIONER DR BINAYAK SEN IN A BJP RULED STATE OF CHATTISGARH IN INDIA WAS TO RAISE VOICE AGAINST IT. I WISHED ON THE NEW YEAR TO ALL MY FRIENDS REQUESTING THEM TO SUPPORT THE CAUSE. I DIDN’T GET ANY RESPONSE ON THE ISSUE. I INTENTIONALLY AVOIDED WISHING HAPPINESS AND PROPEROUS NEW YEAR 2011 FOR THEM AS TRADITIONALLY DONE. I THOUGHT HOW MY WISHES FOR HAPPINESS AND PROPEROUS LIFE FOR DR SEN WHO HAS BEEN THE VICTIM OF LEGAL TERRORISM AND LANGUISHING IN A JAIL COULD BE CONVEYED, I DIDN’T KNOW.

MY HUMBLE QUESTION TO OUR LEARNED PRIME MINISTER WHETHER HE AND HIS ASSOCIATES WOULD HAVE REMAINED SILENT HAD HIS PARTY FUNCTIONARY OR A LEADER OR A MP OR MLA BEEN THE VICTIM OF A BJP GOVERNMENT ? OR THE RAIL MINISTER WHO HAS BEEN PROJECTED TO BE STEWARD OF WEST BENGAL IN THE NEAR FUTURE SHOULD REMAIN SPEAK TO NOT ? NEVER EVER IN THE LEGAL PROCEEDINGS, DR SEN ADMITTED TO HAVE CONNIVED WITH THE SOCALLED MAOISTS OR ANY TERROR GROUP OR ACTED TO UPSET A BJP GOVERNMENT. I KNOW THE HARDCORE MAOISTS OR TALIBAN MILITANTS NEVER DENOUNCE THE OUTFITS THEY BELONGED TO. THEY RATHER GLORIFIED THEIR OUTFITS. IN WEST BEGAL, ANDHRA OR OTHER STATES, THE OPPOSITION PARTY CADRES HAVE BEEN ARRESTED AND BRANDED AS MAOISTS OR SOMETHING ELSE JUST TO SHOW AND RECORD THE PERFORMANCE AND UTILISATION OF CENTRAL FUND. SO MANY INNOCENT PERSONS ARE GETTING AFFECTED AND THEIR FAMILIES ARE BECOMING DESTITUDES.. ON THE CONTRARY, THE REAL CULPRITS REMAINED UNTOUCHED AND THEIR KILLING SPREE CONTINUED. ONLY GENTLEMEN INCLUDE DR SEN WERE TARGETTED AND HARRASSED TO TAKE POLITICAL REVENGE. THE CONSCIENCE OF THE COUNTRY NEVER APPROVES THE ATROCITIES BEHIND THE CURTAINS OF DEMOCRACY AND RULE OF LAW. INDIAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION, AMARTYA SEN, NOAM CHOMSKY AND MANY CLASSIFIED CITIZENS HIGHLY OBJECTED TO THE LEGAL ATROCITIES PERPETRATED AGAINST DR SEN AND REGRETTED FOR MISTRIOUS SILENCE ON THE PART OF CENTRAL RULING LOBBY.
